giftrans

giftrans version 1.12.1 is a freeware tool providing simple conversion between GIF87a and GIF89a specification files. This is source code which can be compiled on any platform.

There is move away from GIF because of patent restrictions, but there is still a good deal of use of GIF by noncommercial interests.

giftrans is in the directory /software/source/giftrans on the CD-ROM. giftrans is from Andreas Ley.
