Graphic Workshop for Windows v1.1T is a shareware program which runs under MS Windows and displays, converts, and manipulates image files and some movie types.
Graphic Workshop for Windows allows the display of and conversion between a wide variety of image formats, including Mac, GEM IMG, PCX, GIF, TIFF, WPG, Pictor or Pegasus PIC, TGA, Dr. Halo CUT, BMP, MS Paint, IFF/ILBM, JPEG, PFS ART, Sun Raster, Slow Scan TV, MS Windows ICO, AVI, Corel PhotoPAINT, FITS, Corel CDR, OS/2 Warp BGA, PNG, MPEG, MOV (QuickTime), FLI/FLC, Photo CD, and WMF. Images can be made into thumbnail catalogs, and can be cropped, dithered (in several ways), scaled, transformed, and altered in various ways, depending on the file type.
This is a well-written program benefitting from many revisions and updates. Nonstandard use of the MS Windows interface makes it less easy to use than it could be. What is unique is the dithering, which allows you to create black-and-white images suitable for printing, and the ability to choose the dithering method. There is a nag screen on exit.
